Thanks For All The Help

The Sweet P’s crew would love to thank everyone who helped get this years Smokin’ Day Fest off the ground.  Dawn Ford and Consumer Awareness Management, Moxley Carmicheal, Mary Ellen and Bobby Hood from Cherokee, Scott McMahan, and Bedros Bozdogan at Event Rentals.  It is going to be a great event this year!  Our headliner is Seth Walker from Austin Texas and we are really lucky to have him.  A little blues, a little R&B Seth is going to bring a little bit of class to the joint and a whole lotta fun.  We could not be more excited about this year’s charity involvement.  The Joy of Music School helps broaden the lives of financially disadvantaged youth through music.  By providing musical instruments, lessons and ensemble participation The Joy of Music School teaches good work habits that will carry over into the lives of these young children.   Tickets are officially on sale through the website or at the store.  If you have any questions feel free to call or email us.

This week we will put the final touches on this years Smokin’ Day Fest. As of now we have some great artists lined up. All day long inside Sweet P’s is proud to present Mr. Allen Lemmons a.k.a Elvis Presley. Mr. Lemmons wowed a packed soul house earlier this year in celebration of the Kings Birthday. Also performing are the Detroit Daddies, Groove Therapy and Texas Tony and the Tornado Ramblers. As usual we will be holding the cornhole tournament as well as the banana pudding eating contest. This year we will be adding another hog to pit making it 3 pigs (one for each year of the festival). Also we will be adding more food to the buffet including banana pudding and mac n’ cheese. Tickets go on sale next week. Look for more info coming soon.
